Car care specialist Meguiar’s puts the user in the driver’s seat

With a rich heritage and over 110 years of experience in Car Care, Meguiar’s is one of the world’s leading surface care product companies, providing innovative and highly specialised products made with passion.

The challenges

The market is competitive and heavily saturated, however Meguiar’s has always stood out as a trusted brand with extensive knowledge, gaining respect from dealers, traders and consumers alike.

To stay ahead of competitors and support their mission as a growing global supplier of best in class products and solutions to car care needs, they knew it was time to change their website from a confusing navigation and clunky shop system to a dynamic and interactive platform.

The objectives

We were commissioned to design and develop an engaging and informative ecommerce website to raise brand awareness and increase conversions across Meguiar’s UK through the creation of a clean, crisp new website to ensure the customer experience online matches the offline.

Improving the customer journey across desktop and mobile was essential to achieving their goals, from the ability to look for advice or tips, to increasing sales by quickly directing users to the product they were looking for and offering a slicker, more efficient checkout process through the Magento platform.

The outcome

Created to appeal to end users with an interest in car care, the website offers an excellent online experience on any device and generates greater awareness of Meguiar’s. The scalable web platform can be enhanced and improved over time in terms of content and functionality, while automated responses to requests and actions through the site minimise manual effort for the client’s in-house team.

The end result is a fully integrated experience for their visitors, enabling them to purchase a product and learning how to use it by watching a video, to catching up on the latest company news and buying products through clever cross-selling recommendations. The website platform is now being rolled out across 6 of Meguiar’s European stores, bringing a fantastic user experience to car care enthusiasts across the continent.
