LHM Triumph at the Dadi Awards 2012

LHM, the Birmingham based digital marketing agency, has crowned a record year of growth by triumphing at the prestigious Dadi Awards which attracts entries from leading agencies across the UK.

At a glittering black tie ceremony at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, LHM picked up the award for best retail campaign for their client CeWe Color based in Warwick.

The campaign centred on the launch of CeWeColor’s Card Town, an online personalised greetings card service. LHM’s brief involved devising the brand identity and launching a new E-commerce website to sell the greetings cards and take on rivals such as Moonpig and Funky Pigeon.

The fully integrated campaign embraced social media, email marketing, traditional PR and display advertising, with a Valentine’s Day launch designed to appeal to the core target market of women aged 15-55.

The response to the launch massively exceeded expectations with 141,457 unique visits, 89,000 sign ups, 68,000 card sales and 4,000 Facebook followers in just four weeks.

Ian Hughes, managing director of LHM, said: “We are demonstrating true innovation with digital and it’s a great achievement for us to win a prestigious award like the Dadi. We were the only Birmingham agency to win an award outright, so it’s tremendous for the team to be able to beat tough national competition and fly the flag for the region.”

Duncan Midwood, managing director, CeWe Color said: “The campaign was one we will never forget, with our workforce working round the clock to service the new customers and masses of orders we received. The team at CeWe Color are delighted for LHM who delivered a brilliant integrated campaign for our business.”

The Dadis recognise and reward digital excellence attracting companies and individuals at the forefront of the industry. At the sell-out awards ceremony Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, was named Dadi Individual of the Year.

From its offices in Fleet Street, LHM has had a record 12 months, growing 50% year-on-year throughout the recession and attracting a number of new accounts from larger agencies. New clients include Dunlop, Mercure and Lovell and in recent months the agency has bolstered the team by attracting new talent from a number of its competitors.

“We’re hiring senior talent that understands how to combine the latest technology with traditional marketing principles so we can continue to expand the business over the coming months. Having the right team, skill set, technology and passion for our clients is providing us with the innovation and competitive advantage for success,” added Ian Hughes.
