    Google launches Penguin 2.0

The fourth update by Google to its search engine called Penguin 2.0 has now hit Google search results. It will take webmasters some weeks to identify some of the new additions; however some high profile sites are reporting changes already.

It has been reported that 2.3% of English-US queries are affected and the change has also finished rolling out for other languages world-wide.

The new Penguin release is targeting black hat techniques, and will be hitting spam sites and strategies with a larger impact than ever before.

In a recent video Google Engineer Matt Cutts said “It’s a brand new generation of algorithms. The previous iteration of Penguin would essentinally only look at the home page of a site. The newer generation of Penguin goes much deeper and has a really big impact in certain small areas.”

Google is requesting users to report spam website to its latest Penguin web form
